College Credit & Technical Certifications
College Credit and Technical Certifications in High School
The Richland School District offers several ways to earn college credit or technical certifications in high school, and each year we have students graduate with a year or more of college credit (saving expensive college tuition!). These opportunities include:

RCHS offers 11 in-building AP classes. Students who take the AP test and score a 3 or higher are eligible for college credit. This year, AP classes include:
- AP Environmental Science
- AP Human Geography
- AP Psychology
- AP Seminar/Capstone
- AP Language & Composition
- AP English Literature
- AP 2D Art
- AP US History
- AP Calculus*
- AP Chemistry*
- AP Research
* Offered every other year in rotation with AP Statistics and AP Chemistry ('24 -'25)
CollEDGE UP is a collaboration between the Richland School District, Southwest Wisconsin Technical College (SWTC), and CESA 3. Students can earn high school AND college credit simultaneously while obtaining technical diplomas in high school. These opportunities include:
- Lab Science Technician*
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
- Automotive Technician (Pathway to Pistons)
- Artisanal Modern Meat Processing
- EMT/Firefighting
And more!

The ECCP Program allows RCHS students to gain college credit in the UW System simultaneous to high school credit. Students are able to choose from dozens of classes offered by the University of Wisconsin online and in-person.
