Academic Career Planning
The Richland School District is dedicated to preparing our students for the next steps in their lives - whether in higher education or the workplace following graduation. We consistently update our course offerings and curriculum to support future projected markets and needs.
We inform our students and families about this information by publicly listing our learning opportunities and communicating via newsletters and electronic media (email, this website, social media, etc.). We also schedule 1:1 meetings with students and parents to work together to plan out career and curriculum choices. We utilize software to help track the planning process of each student.
All students in the Richland School District are given the same opportunities and expectations for learning and success. To provide a clear plan, students participate in a sequence of academic career planning activities beginning in sixth grade through graduation:
